This is where we come in!

My name is Autumn. I started this journey because after having my children, I felt like I didn’t recognize the person I had become. I gained a lot of weight, lost energy, patience, motivation, memory, concentration, developed PCOS; I could go on. I was told it was all “normal” and, unfortunately, that was the truth but that’s not how it’s meant to be. It’s not the way God naturally designed our bodies. Lets say you drive a diesel powered vehicle, but you start mixing a little gas into the fuel because its cheaper and its more convenient because there are few stations with diesel pumps than there are gas; before too long, your vehicle is going to start to really struggle and eventually break down because that motor is not designed to run on gas; you are not giving it what it needs to thrive so it will eventually give out and you will need a new motor. Our bodies are the same way! Sadly, our healthcare system and food has gone very far from what is natural or even helpful. I was never offered anything but medications that were never intended to fix the problem but only mask the issue. I want the root cause. I want to fix the problem not mask it or move it to another location. 

I started trying to tackle sleep because it is so essential for basically everything. For women, we only create our hormones during our sleep and I knew mine were struggling severely. When I saw incredible results with the Magnesium Mist, I became incredibly excited and motivated! Next, I made the Remineralizing Tooth Powder (RTP). I had gone to the dentist and was told I had a small cavity and they wanted to fill it. I did some research and quickly found that I didn’t want to go through with it but I also needed to fix the cavity. When the RTP surpassed my expectations and healed my bleeding gums, eliminated my tooth sensitivity, took the stains off my boys teeth (that only the dentist could do) and made our mouths feel better than dentist-clean, we were hooked and haven’t looked back. 

What is Olden Meraki?

So, what is Olden Meraki then? We are a natural alternative small business based in Upstate SC. It’s a mix of a few different things from hormone balancers, dental care, household essentials, natural medicines and beauty products. Organic, clean, healthy ingredients are the key to everything we stand for! Our goal is to help you find honest, natural alternatives to help your body heal itself; replacing mainstream items that can contain harmful toxins with natural, organic and local ingredients that increase your overall quality of life. Handmade here in the US, quality is important to us. We hope to educate and inspire a return to our God given resources that help you take control of your health.

Our Foundation:

When trying to put a name to this whole thing, I reached out to some trusted friends and family who understood the heart and soul behind it all. One of the words suggested to me was, “Saorsa”, this is a Scottish word meaning Freedom/Liberty. As an American, this is very important to me but also as a Christian, its essential! We need to have the freedom and liberty make our own choices for a lot of things but especially over our health! I have always enjoyed the conveniences of today but as I grow, I have really come to appreciate the simplicity of the past. This is where the word, “Olden” comes in. This one is pretty self explanatory, it refers to older times. I, personally, am working very hard to get back to the way, I feel, is the way we were intended to live. Using what is around us to sustain us. Then we have, “Meraki”. This one is of Greek origin and it means to do something with soul, creativity, or love; to put something of yourself into your work. This fit so perfectly. A lot has been put into this because it means so much to me. It’s not just fun or about having a brand or making a buck. This is so meaningful to me and those who support it. There’s an abundance of care, passion and genuity that motivate it.

This is so important to us because this is so much more than a job to us! This whole thing started because I couldn’t find real solutions. I needed someone who cared to help, to educate me and genuinely care about my wellbeing. Eventually, I was able to find that community and I want to do that for others! In God’s Word, He tells us over and over to love one another. When we follow His instructions, we find they’re there for a reason and we’re better with them. He designed it all, everything we need is right here for us, we just need to use it!
